Every year the Government of Canada lets the province of British Columbia to choose certain number of international graduates and workers who have enough training and experience under BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). This is an important immigration program which ensures the economic growth of the province.
in a draw held June 18, 2019, British Columbia province invited 270 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nominee program which leads to Canadian permanent residency.
BC PNP nomination invitations are sent to the applicants in the following categories
Skills Immigration categories including Skilled Worker, International Graduate and Entry level and Semi-Skilled.
Express Entry British Columbia categories including Skilled Worker and International Graduate.
SIRS is a points-based system very similar to CRS Score in Express Entry system which is used by the BC PNP to evaluate candidates based on their age, education, work experience and proficiency in English, Job offer from an employer in British Columbia etc.…
NOTE: A permanent, full-time job offer from an employer in B.C. is required for most Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC immigration categories.
the BC PNP specify the minimum required Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) scores in the June 18 draw. The BCPNP minimum scores varied from 75 to 105 for different categories. The lowest score belonged to Skills Immigration applicants who applied under Entry Level and the highest score was required for Semi-Skilled Worker category under Skilled Worker category which was as high as 105 for candidates.
Qualified candidates who receive a nomination letter from the BC PNP will get an extra 600 points which will help them to increase their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which guarantees receiving an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residency in the next Express Entry draw.
