The highest number of individuals interested to immigrate to Canada received Invitation To Apply in the last Express Entry draw on February 19th, 2020
In the last Express Entry, 4500 Invitations To Apply issued to the eligible candidates in the pool of Express Entry.
This draw on 19th February 2020 was the fourth draw held by IRCC since the beginning of the year and has brought the number of Invitation up to 14,800 this year.
As we were expecting the number of Invitations to Apply has to increase to meet 85,800 ITAs promised by the Canadian government and IRCC in 2020.
This large number of invitations caused the minimum CRS score to decrease by 2 and we are expecting this CRS score to decrease even more in this future.
In this draw, on February 19th, 2020 all the candidates with the CRS score of 470 and up received an Invitation to Apply. As we see the tie break was applied to this round of draw meaning all the applications with 470 received ITA as well. You can calculate your CRS score to determine your chances to immigrate to Canada under this Immigration pathway.
Express Entry is an online immigration pathway introduced 5 years ago to invite skilled immigrants to enter the labour market of Canada. The first step is to apply through Express entry is to have minimum required qualifications under one of the Express Entry subcategories. To be eligible to apply and get enough points to qualify for any of the subcategories of Express Entry candidates will obtain points based on their age, work experience, education, language proficiency and having a job offer from a Canadian employer in Canada.
The Express Entry has three subcategories
- Federal skilled worker program
- Federal a skilled trade worker program
- Canadian experience class program
Today 9 provinces and two territories in Canada are participating in the provincial nominee program which gives any Express entry candidate who is eligible to obtain 600 extra points towards their CRS score.
Receiving this point will guarantee candidates to receive an invitation to apply. So don’t worry if you don’t meet the minimum required point because you always have the chance to receive a PNP approval after opening your Express entry profile. and your resume will be available to many of the Canadian employers looking to solve their labor shortage through a foreign worker in the pool of Express Entry
This last Express Entry draw shows a decrease of two points in comparison to the last draw on the 5th of February 2020 which is amazing news for individuals interested to immigrate to Canada through this program.
The express entry draw is normally held every two weeks and different numbers of invitations are sent to all the subcategories of the Express Entry Immigration program.
