The government of Canada held an Express Entry draw today on March 4th, 2020. In this draw, the minimum CRS score for Express Entry application was 471.
The previous draw was held on February 19th, 2020 and the minimum CRS Score in that draw was 470 which was the lowest since the beginning of the current year. In that draw, 4500 candidates received an invitation to apply which was great news for all that Express entry candidates.
The Canadian government is increasing the number of invitations in order to meet the goal of 85,800 immigrants through Express Entry.
Express Entry immigration program has three following subcategories:
To be able to open and Express Entry profile interested candidates must be qualified at least for one of these subcategories mentioned above.
Every candidate receives a certain point based on their qualification such as age, education, language proficiency, work experience and their spouse’s qualifications such as education, work experience in Canada and language proficiency.
Candidates must consider that the minimum CRS score points are not always the same and can be different every time as we saw one point increase in this draw on 4th March 2020.
candidates are able to obtain only 600 points based on the qualifications mentioned above. Another 600 points can be achieved by having a valid job offer from a qualified employer in Canada.
The candidates with the provincial nominee program approval are almost guaranteed to receive an invitation to apply.
Candidates with the highest points will receive an invitation to apply from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada IRCC.
Because the CRS score is not always the same we recommend if you are interested to apply under this program open an Express Entry profile. These applicants won’t lose their chance in case the minimum score drops.
