The latest Express Entry draw invites 4,200 Candidates on September 30th

The latest Express Entry draw held on September 30th, 2020. This draw was draw number 164 since the introduction of the Express Entry immigration program. 

This draw invited 4,2 00 eligible and candidates to apply for permanent residency in Canada. 

The lucky candidates with a CRS score of 471 and higher received an invitation to apply.

The minimum CRS score in this round shows a 1 point decrease for eligible candidates waiting to immigrate to Canada with the Express Entry program.

The trend of invitations sent for the permanent residency of Canada through Express Entry is promising and this draw on the 30th of September 2020 was one of the biggest draws since the beginning of the year 2020. This is showing that Canada will keep its promise to increase the number of immigrants it will welcome to Canada.

Canada has issued 69,420 Invitation To Apply by this time in the year 2017 but we see the number on ITAs has increased to 78,350 ITAs in 2020. This is a new record for IRCC in the number of ITAs for the Express Entry Program.

So far the second biggest Express entry draw held on 19th February 2020 which invited 4500 candidates to Canada.

Canada used a tie-breaking rule in the latest draw on 30th September 2020. This means all the candidates with a CRS score of 471 received an invitation to apply as well as all the candidates with a higher CRS score.

As you may know, Express entry is an immigration program introduced in 2015 by Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada IRCC and this Canadian immigration program is based on the point system. This means candidates who have the highest points will receive the chance to obtain permanent residency in Canada under this economic immigration program in Canada.

In the express entry, immigration program candidates compete against each other with their qualifications such as age, language proficiency, work experience, level of education, etc

The candidates with a higher CRS score will receive an invitation to apply in the express entry draw which is held every two weeks.

To be able to create an Express entry profile candidates must be eligible for at least one of the following subcategories

Federal skilled worker program

Federal skilled trade worker program

Canadian experience class

The processing time for this immigration program is approximately 6 months. It means most of the cases have been processed in this period of time.

There are different factors involving in determining the minimum CRS score in each draw such as the frequency of the draw or size of the draw. As you can guess if the express entry draw is held more frequently and more applicants are invited to apply in that draw, the minimum CRS score will decrease automatically.

Having a job offer to qualify under Express entry is not required but a job offer from a Canadian employer can almost guarantee that you receive an invitation to apply under the Express Entry immigration program.
